is a Chicago based photographer who has had numerous shows in Chicago, New York, Michigan
and Oregon to name but a few places. He sent me the following four photographs and I was
immediately impressed by not only the subject matter but also the composition of the images.
To say that these are some great photographs is an understatement. Self Portrait particularly
struck me with it's contrasts of colours and shadows. If you are interested in Michael's work and
would like to see more of it, he can be contacted via
email. Click on the thumbnail images below to see

| sent me a note with a link to his web page featuring his work. I went to the site and was immediately impressed by the chemical compositions and then the collages and then I was overwhelmed by the quanity of quality work Ronald has on his site. Each of the chemical pieces has a detailed explanation (see The Living Work of Art) of the chemicals used and process in which the piece was created. His work is incredibly unique in that the chemical pieces actaully change in appearance over time due to the chemical reactions. His collage work of contemporay images juxtiposed with "old world", almost mystical images speaks to issues surrounding our media culture better than a lot of essays I have read - Ronald's pictures are definitely worth (at least) a thousand words. |
