AMY 1 of 4: The Amy series images all come from a photograph I had taken of myself this past summer when I was visiting family in Augusta, Ga. It was taken in a woodsy area around the Savannah River I think, when the friend I had driven down with and I had decided to go exploring. I found these steps in the outskirts of the woods, and put my camera on a mini-tripod and used a cable release to shoot it. It was when my hair was longer and dreaded and fun. It totally captured how my whole summer of traveling was. The images layered on top of it are just explosions of words and thoughts and colors I was feeling, tasting, and thinking of a few months after this picture was taken. |
