ANDY LIVES: This is a distorted collage-type image I made on photoshop with many different randomly scanned images and photographs. The top of this image is from the back on an old 1950's envelope that "DuPont Nylon Hair Nets" were sold in. I found this envelope for sale for 10 cents...the same price it was being sold at in the 1950's! The thing that is wonderful about it is that it isn't a remake or anything....just pure American hair net. The original. I found it in a random store filled with goodies in Atlanta, Ga called Junkman's Daughter. I thought it was hysterical. I bought many to give as gifts. Not joking. Anyway....The middle of this image is a scanned-and-then-distorted photo that I took of the latest propaganda-graffitti that has been around Philadelphia. It reads "ANDY LIVES" and the face is of late comediane Andy Kaufman. Stickers and graffitti are all over Philadelphia for the AndyLives.org website that insists that Andy Kaufman is still alive. And last but not least is the bottom photograph taken out of an old 1950's sewing magazine showing bored housewives how to knit there son a fashionable double-striped sweater. Little Johnny on page 37 was showing off this sweater while holding a large shotgun. Charming of him, really. |
